DUB 5 continues to cement its reputation as a hub for raw talent and creative innovation, with its two standout signed artists, YPCLZZ (18) and KDthePoet (17), making waves in the scene. The dynamic duo recently showcased their artistry in a whirlwind 24-hour creative spree, demonstrating their commitment to the craft and DUB 5’s high-octane ethos.

ypclzz kicked off the journey with a recording session at DUB 5’s Central London studio. By sunrise, the team moved to the stylish DUB 5 apartment overlooking the River Thames, where KDthePoet stepped into the spotlight. In his freestyle video, KD reignited his lyrical fire, delivering a passionate performance that reflects his signature artistry and poetic depth that fans know and love. Speaking about his next release, KDthePoet shared, “They can expect a fast and snappy flow, I really don’t miss a beat on this. Real authentic lyrics, with meaning behind each one.”

For ypclzz, the momentum continued with a music video shoot that epitomised organic creativity. With multiple Surron bikes roaring through the scenes and a fleet of vehicles, including the iconic cocaine-white DUB 5 Range Rover, the shoot radiated energy and ambition. Directed by the visionary NYDUS, the video serves as a powerful follow-up to ypclzz’s “20 In My Cup”, released just last month. Reflecting on his creative approach, ypclzz said, “I think I’m very different to other artists. I can make a movie no matter the money situation. Most artists would set the project aside, whereas I continue and get it done effortlessly.” - #YPC!

Both videos underline the rapid evolution of DUB 5’s rising stars. In a discussion about the importance of the creative process, KDthePoet emphasised, “I feel like it’s extremely important for artist development ‘cause it brings out a lot of creativity when you get into the flow state with writing, recording, and releasing. If you make 10 songs, you would’ve created at least one new original catchy flow or rhyme scheme which could catch everyone’s eye. You really just have to have strong will in this game and stick at it.”
